SSA is establishing state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities for conducting B.Arch programme. In order to facilitate better learning, SSA has brought in an innovative concept of integrating classrooms for theoretical sessions with facilities of the studio in one room. This innovative approach helps reduce the trouble that students face while moving back and forth from one classroom to studio and back. This also helps save substantial time by reducing the time required for student movement from one room to the other for their lessons.
Advanced Graphic Studio and Computer Lab
The SCMS Group does not compromise on the quality of any aspects that are necessary for imparting quality education to students. SSA has established a modern Graphics Studio with state-of-the-art computer systems on a LAN and latest software that are necessary for pursuing architecture programme. The Computer Centre is equipped with 40 computer systems which translates into a 1 : 1 student computer ratio. The Lab will enable students to have a very clear understanding of the practical applications of the concepts they have learned in theory classes, try out different design concepts and also to create different models. Moreover, the students will get ample opportunity for hands-on computer time to familiarize and acquire necessary skills to work on a variety of latest design software that they would use later on in their professional life.
SSA has set apart over 1000 sq. ft. of space for a material museum where students will be able to display models and designs that they have worked on. This facility will also double up as a display area for different elements of architecture like building materials, structural elements etc.
The Library is equipped to meet the requirements of the B.Arch programme. There are over 400 volumes on various subjects of architecture. The library also subscribes to a large number of national and international technical journals on architecture. The Library is kept open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all working days so as to enable the students to make full use of the facility.
Separate hostels for men and women are available on campus. There is a separate hostel for first year male students at the campus itself.
